Introducing Untag
We are pleased to announce the release of Untag, an app build to protect your online privacy by removing geotags in photos.
With location service turned on, your iPhone will capture your location info for each photo you take. This geotag data is useful as apps such as iPhoto can make use of it for grouping and searching of photos based on a location. The geotag info however is not desirable when sharing your photos online, as you are broadcasting your whereabout to potential predators.
It is recommended to always remove geotags from your photos before sharing them online. Untag is the ideal app that makes geotag removal simple.
- Geotags are removed automatically when photos are added into Untag.
- Add photos for untagging from the Photo Library or paste from clipboard.
- Untag employs a double-scan algorithm to ensure no hidden geotags for the photos in Untag. This ensures that photos inside Untag are free of geotags.
- Share you untagged photos by tweet, email, copy to clipboard or save them back to Photo Library.
Photos inside Untag app are free of geotags. To hide your location from online preyers, use Untag as the go-to app for sharing your photos online.
Untag is for iPhone, iPod touch, iPad running iOS 5 and above. Available from the App Store for just $0.99.
