Setup the Alert Style for the notifications. "Banners" Alert Style is new in iOS 5, where the alert is displayed at the top overlaying the status bar. "Alerts" Banner Style is a popup alert similar to iOS 4.x.
Turn on "Sound" and "View in Lock Screen" options for playing the alert sound and displaying Routines/Debts alerts in Lock Screen.

What's next for Routines app
We are currently designing and developing the next major release of Routines app. Version 3 of Routines app is expected to complete around this fall and will include a number of new features that will make it a more complete and useful app for managing your routine tasks.
One of the major changes in Routines 3 is the minimum requirement for your devices to run at least iOS 4. This will allow the app to take advantage of iOS 4 features, as well as reducing bugs due to reduction in code complexity.
We encourage you to consider iOS 4.x if you're not already running it. You will not be able to upgrade to Routines 3 if you are still running iOS 3.x. Routines 3 will be a free upgrade for existing users.
For current version 2 of Routines app, there will be no new features added, and update if any will be for bug fixes only.
We are excited about what will be in version 3 of Routines app. We believe many of our existing users will be pleased as well.
